Chickenpox
Chickenpox is a highly contagious disease caused by a virus. Chickenpox is a disease that causes an itchy rash of blisters and a fever. Chickenpox can be serious, especially in babies
Symptoms
- Fever
- Tiredness
- Runny nose
- Rash on skin that turns fluid filled blisters that eventually turn into sabs. (This rash is itchy, easily bursts and then spreads over the entire body)
How chickenpox spreads?
- Chickenpox spreads very easily through the air when someone with chickenpox coughs or sneezes.
- by directly touching the blisters, touching towel or clothes of an infected person
- Chickenpox will spread from one person to another until all the blisters have crusted over the body.
Prevention
- If you and your child has chickenpox, keep them at home until the last blister has burst and crusted over.
- If you have chickenpox, isolate at home.
- Separate your belongings (towel, clothes) until recover.
- To prevent from chickenpox get vaccinate (Chickenpox vaccine is available from the pharmacy)
